The steps for a publisher to sign up are:

  • step 1:

    Sign the Portico Publication License Agreement

  • step 2:

    Agree to deposit electronic journal source files in a timely way

  • step 3:

    Permit Portico to address the longstanding perpetual access concern

    in the publisher and in the library communities, when appropriate

  • step 4:

    Makes an annual financial contribution.
